Why You Should Hate the Dodgers

I don't particularly care which teams you root for, but I got a request to write why you, yes you, should hate the Dodgers.

As the off-season keeps on going, you realize that almost every big move is being made by the Dodgers. They acquired Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow. With more big free agents left like Jordan Montgomery and Cody Bellinger, you have to wonder if the Dodgers will get them also. I wouldn't think so, but I didn't think they were going to get Yoshinobu Yamamoto either, and look where we are now.

So, not only are they super selfish, not letting the other teams get anybody good, wait...

Yes, it is 100% legitimate for the Dodgers to grab all of these players. It may not be very nice, but it is completely legal.

Besides the fact that they are grabbing all those goodies, the Dodgers remind you that you are not rich (you being the average American). They have spent well over a billion dollars in just Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Glasnow.

I know that these aren't good reasons to hate a ballclub. Neither is their horrible City Connect uniforms or their ticket prices. Well, I suppose you can hate the ticket prices. Anyway, not going into moral reasons, but just reasons this off-season, I doubt that I can convince anybody to hate the Dodgers.

Well, the Dodgers administration babbled about getting Ohtani before they actually signed him, something he told them not to do. I suppose this could have caused him to sign with somebody else, and therefore their own fans could hate them.

They also don't seem to have the reputation of a nice fanbase. Dodgers fans have been known to beat up and seriously hurt other fans, especially Giants fans. I guess this is a reason to hate them, because that behavior is pretty bad.

If you really wanted to hate the Dodgers, you could talk about their horrible postseason runs. How could a team that consistently wins 100 games get trounced by back-to-back teams with less than 90 wins, teams which also happen to be in their same division? It must really suck to get burned by teams which you have been better than all year long.

So, they're spending more money than most people will ever have, they are taking all the good players so nobody else can have them, they have horrible City Connect jerseys that look like pajamas,  they play in a dump, their management is pretty bad, they always lose in the postseason to teams the Giants could beat, and there are no trolley dodgers in LA. If you don't already like them, then why should you? And I'm already not going very deep into all the immoral things they did, although if you want to, I can tell you. Let's just say for now that they did a lot of really bad things that even their players hated. If their own players are hating what the Dodgers do, then why shouldn't you?

Clayton Kershaw is actively considering joining the Rangers in free agency. He was very perturbed by what the Dodgers did, and he just might leave the team he's been playing with his whole career. He really did not appreciate the things that his team did and could not condone them, being a Christian. And heck, he was right.

These are my reasons as to why you should hate the Dodgers. The only really good reason is the immoral things they have done, which I don't like to talk that much about, but that their ace pitcher spoke out against. However, I don't particularly care which teams you like.
